At Looije Packing, we specialize in efficient fruit and vegetable sorting to ensure that fruits and vegetables that don’t meet strict quality standards are still put to their best use. To ensure that these products are put to their best use, we carefully inspect and sort them. Products that do not meet the set standards are removed, allowing the rest to continue to their final destination through our thorough sorting process.
When fruits and vegetables do not meet the highest standards for their original destination, but are suitable for other markets, we use efficient fruit and vegetable sorting to provide redistribution.. This consists of two streams. Class 2, the fruit intended for the market and industry fruit, this is used for the juice and oil industry. In this way, customers can still extract value from produce that would otherwise go to waste.
Fruit not suitable for consumption is going to a waste stream. But even these leftovers are put to good use, for example in the form of compost or bio energy.
