Hard fruit season is around the corner

A captivating photo capturing dedicated employees meticulously inspecting and ensuring the quality of apples, exemplifying our commitment to delivering only the finest produce to our customers

At the moment, Looije Packing is still fully involved in the grape programmes. Packing is done according to the client’s wishes, mostly from loose to Topseal or Clamshell.

This season, too, there are big differences in quality, but so far we are always able to send a healthy product out the door.

Besides the ongoing programmes, we are of course also looking ahead to the upcoming hard fruit season. As everyone knows, apples and pears cannot be compared, but that slogan doesn’t really apply within the world of packing.

There are considerable volumes of apples and pears in the pipeline. Our Foodtainer and Carton Sleeve programmes stand out this year. We are running these programmes at several locations to meet the large volumes. We are also planning some smaller programmes such as single-layer packing and Flowpacking.

To start the apple and pear season well-prepared, our staff have again received refresher training. This way, our staff know what to look out for and we are also trying to work more and more efficiently. A good example is our automated apple inlay system in Rotterdam. This is currently being installed by our technical department, so that we are ready in time to process all programmes.

For optimal storage and transhipment conditions, we work closely with our partners. We can store fruit and vegetables for longer if required.

If you have any packing questions, do not hesitate to contact us. By expanding our machinery and our location-based approach, we can act quickly and there is a good chance that we can still meet your packaging requirements.
